math and writing

Want to know how math and written language got started? Token molding came first! What would we have done without clay? We might not have ever had computers or the internet.

Of course without sand we would not have digital cameras. The computer might have been able to come into existance without sand if electronics and optics evolved down a different path but they didn't. Any idea how much silica is in front of you right now as you read this?

The Ides of april

What an eventful first half of a month. Taxes are done. My wife is going to Chicago tonight. They finally gave me a little circuit design work to do so I will try to ooze all of the other information from my mind so that I can concentrate on this task. Small stuff, but it is what I love to do and we only get new circuit design tasks once in a blue moon. And there has only been one blue moon in the last year.

I will be finalizing the itinerary for the summer vacation and making reservations when T gets back this weekend.

Eldest boy wants to get an Apple laptop but has been waiting for the MAC OS X TIGER to come out. It will be out in time for his 18th birthday so that is cool. He said he will go on vacation with us, so that is nice also.
